funeral sermons

Often your emotions are so stirred up that it can be very difficult to come up with words of condolence for those that need them. Death is never easy, there is nothing to cushion its blow or minimize the pain of it.

Grief is much easier to deal with when you have a faith filled hope that a deceased loved one is connected to God and you in a relationship that may have changed, but has not ended. Just sit down and write from your heart. A poem can be about the life of the one who has passed or just kind words.

This may include a request for a certain person to perform the service, the choosing of particular flowers, and even the selection of funeral music. If you are a coworker, you can focus on work-related memories and humorous anecdotes. Just like when our loved ones are at home with us and spend time in our living room.

Make sure to jot down notes as you think of them before writing the full eulogy. If you are gifted with the blessing and talent of writing poetry for the dead, share it.
